Administration
Blair Powell
Principal
I have worked in Cache County School District for over twenty years and have taught a variety of subjects including Spanish, art, English, history, P.E., and science. I have been an administrator at Spring Creek, Willow Valley, Mountain Crest, South Cache, and now Maple View.
I live in Mendon with my wife, four kids, two dogs, five chickens, and five cats that have adopted us. Besides my family, and education, my interests include reading (I’m at my happiest when I am in the middle of a good novel), sports (especially football, and wrestling), running, fishing, hiking, hunting, skiing, and traveling.

Andy Lund
Assistant Principal
I am proud to serve as the assistant principal at Maple View Middle School. During my 25 years in education—including more than 10 years as a school administrator—I have learned that strong relationships and open communication can prevent many problems before they begin. I enjoy working alongside students, teachers, and parents, and I always try to find ways to say “yes” whenever possible.
My family and I love calling Cache Valley home. Outside of school, I enjoy spending time outdoors. Over the years, I have also enjoyed coaching track and cross-country, as well as tennis, at local schools. I am excited to be part of the Maple View community and look forward to helping every student feel known, supported, and successful.

John Sanchez
School Support Leader
Hi, I’m John Sanchez! As a School Support Leader, I get to spend my days doing what I love: empowering educators and building strong learning environments. Before moving into leadership, I spent 22 incredible years teaching mathematics. That time in the classroom taught me that every student can thrive when we pair high expectations with real, open communication. For me, great education changes lives. When I'm not at school, you'll usually find me catching up with family and friends, heading out to the river for some fly fishing, or unwinding with a good book.
